Short introduction
Timo Glock is DTM Germany and former Formula Driver 1. In addition to his career as a DTM driver, he can be seen at RTL as a formula 1. He has a son and a daughter and has lived with his girlfriend in Gottlieben in Swiss Canton of Thurgau since March 2012.
Early life
Timo Glock was born on March 18, 1982 in Lindenfels in Odenwald, but he grew up in the wersau near Darmstadt. He is a trained scaffolding engineer. His father is a scaffold entrepreneur. In 1997 Timo Glock bought his first kart. In the German Junior Kart Cup, he noticed that he had talent for it and had dealt with this hobby intensively.
From 1998 to 2000 he had his first racing experience in the DMV and federal championships and developed ambitions for more.
Career
Timo Glock began his career in 1996 at the age of 14 in the Motocross. The following year he turned to the karting. He won his first championship title in the Young Junior BMW Formula in 2000.
In 2001 he rookie this year at Deutsche Formel BMW. The following year, he turned to the Formula 3 euro series.
In 2004 he drove for the first time in Formula 1. There he advanced four races for Jordan. Because there was no ordinary cockpit in Formula 1, he turned to the World Champ Car series in North America. There he became a newcomer. In 2006 he returned to Europe and drove in the GP2 series. In 2007 he won the GP2 series and at the same time testing testing in Formula 1 for the BMW Sauber team. A year later, he became a regular driver in Formula 1 for Toyota Panasonic racing team. At the end of the season, he was tenth in the driver’s championship. He also drove for the Toyota Panasonic racing team in 2009, where he took two podiums and had to end the season before injury. From 2010 to 2012 he was a regular driver for Marussia-Virgin. In 2010 he finished overall 23 after several technical difficulties. It is ranked 25th in 2011 and 20 in 2012. The contract was stopped prematurely and with a joint agreement at the beginning of 2013 due to economic conditions.
Timo Glock has been driving in DTM since 2013, where he signed a contract with BMW. He drove for the Mtek team for three years. In the last race of the season, he took his first victory. He ended the season in the ninth place. The following season he finished 16th. His last season at Mtek ended in 15th place.
Since the 2016 season he has become part of the BMW squad for the Reinhold Motorsport team, where he finished 10th, 7, 5 and 12.

Timo Glock is a champion at GP2 in 2007.
In 2008 he celebrated his biggest success in Formula 1 with second place in Hungary. This year he reached the 10th place in the overall ranking.
