Goa is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Chopdem is a small village of Goa. It comes within the province of Northern-Goa and is situated close to the Western Coast of India. It is governed by the administrative body of Pernem Taluk of North Goa district. Home to the friendly locals, majority of which are fishermen, Chopdem is comparatively less modernized than many of the popular tourist destinations of Goa. Konkani and Marathi are the prime dialects. However, locals are also comfortable with Hindi and English. Besides, Portuguese is spoken by a certain count of locals. 

Near to the Arabian Sea the village houses some of the best Goan beaches. These beaches are known for their sun-kissed sand, shallow shores, never-ending string of palm trees, and the lively shops that are always occupied by tourists. Like rest of the state, summer here is sometimes quite hot and generally humid. Winter, on the other hand, is simply pleasant. Taking an evening walk alongside the beach is delightful, followed by an old-fashioned Goan dinner is simply the best way of ending the beautiful evening. There are plenty of fine restaurants in the town. Besides, most of the luxury hotels in Chopdem also feature exquisite dinners.

The best time for the tour of Chopdem is during October to March. Since it is a small town, so two to three days is sufficient for a tour of the town. A couple of most significant tourist attractions in the town include: Vagator, Arambol, Baga Creek, Pernem, Saligao, Kulkar Sateri Temple, Manavailo Church, Shri Brahman Temple, Shri Dattatreya Temple, Bhumika Devi Temple, Mandrem Church Dagoba Temple, Rosary Church Cemetery, Morjim Beach, and Ashvem Beach. Besides, there are a couple of other interesting places near the town, within a 5 k.m. radius. These include: Assagao, Camorlim, Solim, and Tuem, etc.

Vasco Da Gama Railway Station is the nearest major railhead to Chopdem. Also, there is another in Panaji which connects the state to rest of the country. In addition, there is a small railhead in Pernem, the headquarter of the taluk under which falls Chopdem. Dabolim Airport situated on the outskirts of Vasco city is one of the most preferred modes to access the town and one rest of Goa. It is a state-of-art airport and connects Goa to all major Indian cities. However, a majority of tourists in Goa prefer to access Chopdem via roadways. The state is well-connected via excellent road networks. Taxis, cabs, and buses are easily available from all major cities of Goa.
